Hey guys
Sorry I haven't been around, even though in my last journal entry I had hoped to be making a comeback and start posting things again. Alas, life continued to get in the way and I find myself still with no time to draw anything.
I did sign up for a distance learning art course back in September though, and I've yet to get started on that. I'm aiming for after Christmas definitely; maybe once I get the painting and drawing bug back with structured exercises and ideas the ball will start rolling. I'll be sure to post the completed assignments here once I get around to them and they've been marked and critiqued by my tutor.
I have been working my creative muscles in a drama course for the past 10 weeks though, and it's been thoroughly enjoyable; I've been able to improvise and come up with scenarios and characters on the spur of the moment - something I've never seemed to be able to do before so it's been an invaluable learning experience for me. And all that in just the introductory course! I want to do the next step up from that course next year, but because of work (and more exams needed for work - AGAIN) and lack of funds, I will have to postpone that possibility. i also have plans to go back to college part time to study other subjects, I'm really working hard on a life plan this year!
Just another thing: I've been getting a few comments and messages in the last while asking if I do requests. Unfortunately, I don't do requests any more, I just haven't the time, energy or drive to do them right now. Hell, I don't even do commissions! So sorry guys, but requests are not possible to fulfill.
I was also totally excited for the return of the Lion King to cinemas of course! I went to see it once in 2D and then in 3D. I had tears in my eyes, I love it so much! I think they did a wonderful job with the 3D. it reminded me of a pop-up book in someways. Needless to say I was also delighted to see all the new Lion King merchandise hit the Disney store. I am now the proud owner of a few new plushies. How fun it is to buy these things when you're supposed to be an adult!
